What time of day will my session be?
Sessions are only scheduled in the evening about 2 hours before sunset…. unless other special arrangements are made.  With that… times tend to change as seasons do.  Please use this calendar here for an estimate, but I will email you a final time once you’ve booked your session.

When should I schedule my session?
~   I tend to schedule as far out as 4 months and fill-up fast, please email me for availability.
(Please know that Fall/Christmas appointments fill up *super* fast.)
~   For maternity sessions, please contact me about half way thru your pregnancy to book your
appointment for about 3-6 weeks before your due date.
~   For newborns, please email me while you are pregnant so I can pencil in your due date.
The session works best within the first 10 days after being born…. the earlier the better!

When do I get to see my images?
My turn around time is ‘roughly’ 3 weeks after the date of the session unless stated/quoted otherwise.

How do I view my images?
You can view them by clicking here or on the above “Clients” tab above… and then type in your password that I emailed you.  You will have 2 weeks to view your images.  After 2 weeks the images are archieved and there is a $50 fee to have them reloaded online.

What should my family wear?
The more color the better!!!  I tell people to pick 3-4 colors and to mix it up.  Don’t be matchy-matchy!  (I mean… do you ever walk around town all dressed alike?  No!  So why hang that on the wall?)  I also recommend to steer away from large chunks of white &/or black… as those colors can dull an image and not give it POP.  Accessories are great too… scarves, hats, boots, jewelry, etc…  Check out some ideas on Pinterest.

How do I prepare for my session?
1.)  Let’s face it, most people don’t get pictures done that often, so why regret them?!?!  I highly recommend to enjoy a little time at your salon…. get your hair & make-up done… and come feeling fabulous…. it WILL show in your pics and you WILL love the outcome sooo much more!
2.)  Kids react to tension/stress…. so please stay calm and relaxed.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “they never act like this” or “they’re not like this at home”…. Kids ALWAYS act out when they know the parents are worked up…. so please plan well for clothes and time and come a bit early to relax before we start our session.

Who provides the props?
I have TONS of props and during the planning process of your session I will get details of the colors you’re wearing and your style… and I will then plan props around that.  If you see something in my portfolio that you like, please let me know.  I also HIGHLY encourage for clients to bring their own props as this makes the images more personal.

How often should I have pictures done?
~   Ideally, family portraits about once a year, kids twice a year, and special occasions.
~   Kids under 2 years old… newborn, 4m, 8m, 12m, 18m, 2 year….. because they grow so fast!
