This last saturday I had the joy of shooting this gorgeous girl’s wedding in AMAZING 86 degree weather in August…. but a few weeks ago we juggled storms that made us scrambling for a place to do bridals. Luckily her mom is friends with someone that has a stunning historic home in Belton Texas. As we creeped closer to the session time, we were blessed with sun! RAH! I can’t wait to share more of their wedding day soon!

Today was a rainy rainy RAINY day….. and on rainy days I love my coffee and hiding away in my editing cave (aka: studio office). So after picking up my girl from day camp, we went for an afternoon snack sweet-tooth pick-me-up at Starbucks! Natalie of course had to get a chocolate chip cookie… and I had to get something pumpkin (I’m soooo thankful they have pumpkin bread all year!!!).
I’m starting a fun new project with some photog buddies called “Pieces of Us”… we are making a point to get out and capture our own lives. As photogs, we forget (or get too busy or just get burnt out) to shoot our own memories from time to time. So Pieces of Us will challenge us on a regular basis to capture our own memories beyond Instagram! No leaves & long sleeves…. you guessed it…. I’m seriously behind on blogging! A few months ago I headed off to Tulsa for a workshop and pit stopped in Dallas to visit my bestie (which now has move back to Temple… yippie skippie) and I got to shoot her family. She’s a lucky chickadee to have married into such a fun, quirky, loving family…. they really know how to goof around and share the love! I know they are really missing the quick drive to hang out with their sister Heather and family dinner with the rents. This session was even more special as Jason is a Marine and had just got back from what we all hope will be his last deployment…. so we had a reason to celebrate! God bless him and the rest of our troops for doing what they do so we can freely do what we do!

Last night I sneaked away from my cushy air conditioning and out to a field to hang out with my friend Amy and her sweet sweet family. He baby boy just turned one (I can’t believe a year has flown by already!)… so it was time for some update pics of this cutie. And isn’t he just the cutest critter ever??? Check out the puckered up kiss-y face… it just screams “Gimmie Kisses”! He is just the happiest little guy!!!
