Miss Charli greeted her Mom and Dad with a huge smile on February 9th.  She is such and doll and Mom and Dad couldn’t be more thrilled!  Thanks you guys for welcoming me into your life and capturing this special time!  Welcome Miss Charli!  Many Blessings!

    Very Sweet! Love that hat!

My friend & fellow photog, Melody, have the same problem…. absolutely NO pictures of ourselves…. and even less of ourselves with our daughters!  So we teamed up a few weeks ago and I took a few of the two of them together.  Blakely also happened to be turning 9 months old so we were able to have a fun session.  I’m so excited that she will get to be shooting me and my daughter next week in return!  YEAH!

Awe I just LOVE these! Thank you 🙂 I cant wait to shoot you guys!!!!! Its so awesome to finally have some pictures of her and I together (with me actually having make up on LOL)!

Last week I headed to dowtown Austin to the Blanton Art Museum to do this session with Ray & Kristin.  The Art Museum wrapped the 100 trees in their courtyard with sweaters!  I LOVE color and started jumping for joy when I saw these trees… and knew I had to shoot there!  Thanks R&K for being such troopers!

I have had a few wonder why custom photography costs more than the fly-in and take home type studios like Wal-Mart and Sears.  The answer is simple…. the time it takes to edit!  (Technically it’s also the planning, prepping, personalizing, downloading, emailing, uploading, culling, editing, designing, and self-education… but 75% of all that is the editing!)

So I’ve decided to start sharing some before & afters occasionally here on my blog.  I will post a SOOC (straight out of camera) and an AFTER, so you can see some of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into an image.  Enjoy!

I had the joy of photographing my cutie-pie nephew last week!  I just love this session…. so many personal details!  The hay and horse outfit fit perfect for my brother’s family’s personality….. the blue blanket was hand made by our grandma that passed away last year…. the egg basket was our great-great grandmother’s…. and the gown (barely shown here) has had 5 generations of baby pictures taken in it!    I just love bringing personal items that mean something into pictures…. it makes them so much more personal and special!  LOVE!
