So for our ONE snow day here in Temple, Texas… I decided to be the crazy photog andrisked the roads to do what I love and capture some fun shots. The first ones are from around town:
Then I got cold and had to make my favorite pit-stop to Starbucks!
Next I met up with the Standeford family for a quick mini-session in the snow!
Then I shot my favorite model of all…. Natalie, my daughter! It was a fun day!
A few months back, my fellow photog friend, Melody, and I got together to play around with some rented lenses and her baby girl was our sweet model for the day! Unplanned… they just happened to be dressed alike, so I took advantage and snapped away!
About a week or so ago, I entered into Tamara Lackey’s Children’s Portrait Contest. Well I just found out today that I got 3rd Place! I’m soooo excited! I’m excited that I got 3rd Place (out of 600+), but I’m more excited of what I have learned, self-taught, and have worked really hard to improve my skills over the last couple of years! I really only have you guys to thank for that… for trusting in me to document you family’s memories… so thank you so much! Here is the link to the contest to see all the great images! The image I entered was a personal one of my daughter Natalie. I captured the image by random… we were headed home from my sister-in-law’s baby shower and I saw a field w/ pretty weeds. Does that even make sense… Pretty Weeds??? By luck I had Natalie dressed in a cute dress and the sunlight was perfect, so I went for it and got the below image. She is my pride and joy… and like any mom, I love to show her off!
This year for Natalie’s school friends, I wanted to do a differernt Valentine! I designed a fun pic on a normal wallet for her to give out to her daycare friends! They turned out so cute!
I got carried away with ordering, so I ordered some samples of “Large Mounted Prints” too…
And… I also ordered a “Standout” for my office!
So I love taking Valentine pictures of Natalie every year…. not sure why, but it has become a tradition for me. I think it’s the colors! I LOVE red and pink…. plus I LOVE getting to do things that I want to try and play with. Do you like my wall? Watch for the upcoming posts for for products that I made with these images!

We would like to get my family(5) and my brother’s family(6) and my mom in a big picture. Would we pay for 2 family sitting fees? Or do you even do 12 people in a sitting? Just curious about the pricing. I know we would want some of just our family and they would want some of thier family, but we would like one of our combined families. I understand the pictures are bought seperately.
