My sweet friends, Ray & Kristin, welcomed a sweet baby girl a couple weeks ago and I feel so lucky have been able to photograph this special time for them.  They have been dear friends for so long and I’m so happy for them.  She is such a cutie… with perfect skin and thick gorgeous hair!  It’s always fun to be friends with people so long that you get to enjoy different stages of life with them.  Congrats you guys…. y’all will be such amazing parents!!!

WOW… I can’t believe today is already here.  This gorgeous bride is my sweet friend Lauren.  She’s a lover of photography too and 2nd Shoots lots of my weddings with me and helps me in the studio as well when I get overwhelmed…. she’s amazing, sweet, funny, loving, huge heart… I see why Phil snatched up!  I’ve been so excited to share her Bridal pics, so I scheduled them to post today just after they say I DO… but we are currently living it up at their reception at Tenroc Ranch… and I can’t wait to share a shot from their wedding tomorrow!

Congrats Lauren… I’m so excited for you and wish you many many years of happiness and a relaxing honeymoon!  Love ya!  XOXO

A few weeks ago, I had the best treat to get to photograph my daughter’s teacher.  It was fun planning the session and Natalie begged and begged to come along, but of course I’m the “mean mommy” that wouldn’t let her, as I need focus.  I’ve heard Natalie talk about her teacher’s cute daughters several times (I think she wants to keep them for herself, lol)… and she’s right… they are super cute and full of personality.  Mom brought along her Great Grandmother’s tea set and it made for the cutest pictures ever!  I love when people bring along things that are personal to themselves… makes the images so much more special!  See one of my faves HERE.

Last Friday was Belton’s 1st Father Daughter Dance…. so my hubs teamed up with his twin bro and my bro, and took all 3 of their favorite gorgeous gals for a night out on the town.  They did the works too… pretty dresses, getting hair all fixed up, dance date, and then of course… in true Belton style… ended up at the Rodeo after, LOL!  The girls had such a blast… and I think all the Daddies did too!  Great memories for them all!!!  🙂

So here we are 1.5 months into a new year…  and while I should feel refreshed from my slow(er) season… instead I have felt stressed and tired from a broke down computer, car, A/C, lens and a nasty cold.  But yet I’m still grateful for so many wonderful things in my life too… a fabulous husband, a sweet kind-hearted daughter, great friends and family, and a blossoming job that I adore… AND… especially my 2 “co-workers” Kerri & Becky!  I couldn’t have asked for better friends when we met 2 years ago at a photography workshop.  We have become each others cheerleaders, idea-mappers, therapists, travel companions and best of all friends!

Over the past month Kerri had started reading The Happiness Project and encouraged us to read it as well.  Well… I’m not a reader!  AT ALL!!!  I just don’t have the patience for it and my mind is usually going in so many directions that I catch myself re-reading the same paragraph over and over.  Luckily, she kept talking about how great it was and encouraging me to read it, so I broke down and bought it… looked at it just sitting there… then bought it on Audible so I could just listen to it while doing something else.

This book is definitely a must-read for all women that have hit their 30’s+.  I won’t spoil what it’s about, but it’s one to dive into for sure!
