This little cute wingman is my nephew… and I can’t beleive he’s already two!  His birthday was a couple months ago, but it falls in the middle of my crazy busy season…. and if you’re my family, you know that you get shoved to the back burner sometimes.  LOL…. but we had such gorgeous weather the other day and I finally got out there and shot this little cutie!  He was in such a good mood and my brother was standing behind doing his thing that he does to get this character to laugh…. and man, was he laughing and having a good time!  It’s bitter sweet to see the time fly.  Love him!

I got the text last night that my college roomie was about to become a Mommy…. so this morning I drove down to Seton Medical Center in Austin to meet Sammie the IV… and man is he going to be a little heartbreaker… even Nana & Coco were instantly smitten!  Smooth skin, blue eyes, blonde hair…. just a perfect little angel!  Love you guys and Congrats on your new bundle.

My brother and niece headed out for a date night tonight…. complete with dinner & dancing!  My niece was soooo extremely excited when my Mom (Nana) and I took her shopping for a dress yesterday and got her nails done….she had such a big grin.  I can’t believe how fast she is growing up.   My brother has always been great a making a girl feel special and even more when it comes to his #1.  I can’t wait to hear all about it when they get back!

I am one lucky lady… I’ve had the joy of photographing the family for a couple of years now.  I love being able to watch families grow!  Oh how I could have snuggled with this little cutie all day…. and those baby rolls just make me melt.  Her big brother is so very proud too!  Congrats you guys!

So before you ask… No, this is NOT my studio where I shoot newborns (that is in my formal living room converted studio).  But today I wanted to play just a bit as I always dream of one day having a “natural light studio”…. and my garage it the closest thing I have to that!  Natural light gives so much more yummy soft light than what I’ve ever been able to achieve in my studio…. hmmm, maybe I should just break down a wall???  Sadly, I didn’t have a model at the moment as my baby girl is at school… so Bunny filled her place for this example, LOL.   See…. no harsh shadows and everything looks all soft.  LOVE!!!
