Whooohooo… Lauren & Phil are married!  I’m sooo excited for these two!  Lauren is my wingman behind the scenes and helps keep me sane during busy times…. so when she told me they were getting married, I was over the moon honored that she asked me to shoot her Big Day.   I’ve LOVED being apart of her journey… sharing in her surprise engagement (she was tricked into thinking I was shooting a family session of her family)…. then going to A&M (where they both went and started dating) for their engagement session…. then hopped around Salado for her gorgeous bridal session.  I will say I get more nervous shooting friends’ weddings than I do any other client…. but when I got home and saw what all I got, then I got all giddy with excitement.  I’ve been dying to share their day as it was so stunning and fun….. and I hope you enjoy reminiscing in a fabulous evening!

I wish you two the best and many many many years of dreams and happiness!  🙂

Last month I took a quick trip to Raleigh, NC to visit with my sweet friend Becky from Rebecca Keller Photography.  It was a very much needed and very fun getaway.  We met 2 years ago at a workshop in Austin, along with our amigo Kerri from Images by Kerri, and they were both also amongst the amazing ladies that I went to NYC with last year.  The three of us have become thick as thieves and chat daily.  I really do owe my sanity to these two ladies and love them dearly!

While in Raleigh… I enjoyed some AMAZING food…. crepes, real coffee house coffee, honey chicken ‘n waffles, and NC BBQ (which of course my hubs completely grilled me on the details of once I was home since he does BBQ cook offs!)…. the food was amazing and my mouth still waters thinking back on it!  The best part about traveling to visit a photog friend was shooting all day and not having the need to be entertained/ing when we were tired.  After shooting several sessions we vegged out on the sofa chatting, watching tv, and editing our pics together…. I know, I know… this my sound like a bore to most people, but was totally fun for us.  LOL!

Before her boys left to have their own mini-vacay with the grandparents… we squeezed in a family session.  Becky had been craving a family pic on the famous Boylan Bridge downtown and in only about 10-15 minutes we were able to tackle a whole session.  I loved finally meeting her boys after all these years, even if only for a few short hours.

Now off to plan a trip to Canada to see Kerri next!  🙂

These are precious and priceless. The lighting is gorg and Becky, you already know this, but your family is perfectly sweet and so photogenic!

A couple weekends ago I drove out to Westphalia, just outside of Waco Texas, and met this handsome lil fella.  His home had amazing window light and was nestled in the middle of  bright green wheat fields…. and when the wind blew the sound of the wheat rustling was so peaceful that I could’ve snuggled up with him and taken a nap!  His big sis is oh so proud and couldn’t stop giving him kisses… and I bet they grow into being the best of friends!  Congrats to this sweet family!

The Lovelace Family is such a sweet family that you can’t help but to want to be a part of it.  With grand-kiddos off at college, the next big family pic won’t be until probably weddings… so we had to capture the family as it is now.  We went out to their grandparent’s land…. it’s absolutely some of the prettiest land in Bell Co… the pics below don’t fully show it off, but it’s full of HUGE gorgeous trees, a river, and fabulous wide open spaces…. and I’m sure this family has enjoyed making many memories over the years there!

I loved going out there when I was little. A lot of awesome memories!! Miss Uncle Tom and Aunt Odessa!!!

This is one rockstar Grandma…. she loves her grand babies like crazy and will do anything for them…. so why not capture that in a session!  We celebrated family and Mr. Noah’s 1st b-day…. and fyi, he didn’t like his birthday cake being taken away at the end, LOL!  Oh the personals I was able to capture in just a short time, heehee!
